- Chad Dewitt raced 65 yards for a touchdown on the first play from
scrimmage, and the defense pitched a shutout as the Indians cruised to a
victory over the Fairview Aggies. The Indians added three more scores in
the first quarter. After recovering an Aggie fumble at the Aggie 3,
Jonathon Pinque ran 3 yards for the score. Later in the quarter, an Aggie
runner was tackled in the end zone for a safety. Marchas Glover closed out
the first quarter scoring with a 37 yard run. In the second quarter,
Dewitt scored from 4 yards out to extend the lead to 31-0. The score was
set up with a 57 yard pass from Dewitt to Eric McCrary. With 29 seconds
left in the half, McCrary scored from 32 yards out to give the Indians a
37-0 halftime lead. The Indian defense held the Aggies to less than 25
yards total offense in the first half. The Indians substituted freely in
the second half. Nathan Durham was a perfect 5 for 5 in the PAT
department. Next Friday, the North Jackson Chiefs visit East Limestone in
a battle for the Region 7 lead. Both teams enter the game 5-0 in region
